Bohemia Assists at Manorville Brush Fire APRIL 10 - Bohemia Fire Department was toned out for a brush fire in Ridge at 3:27pm on April 9th. Our brush truck 3-12-5 was sent to Yaphank staging, under the direction of Assistant Chief Rich Andersen. Enroute, the crew could see the smoke column from Sunrise Highway in Bohemia. St. John Nepomucene Structure Fire APRIL 03 - On April 3rd 2012 at 12:20 pm Bohemia Fire Department was activated for a structure fire at the historic St. John Nepomucene 'Little' Church that was built in 1886. 2nd Assistant Chief Michael Stankunis was the Incident Commander and directed crews to stretch a hose line to the front doors as well as to vent the structure. House Fire on Norman Drive MARCH 29 - The Bohemia Fire Department responded to a working house fire on March 14 at 10:24 PM. Chief Jeff Behoneuk was the Incident Commander for the Norman Drive fire that started in an attached garage. Fire and smoke damaged the garage and the adjoing part of the home, but the fire was quickly knocked down and most of the structure was saved. Bus Fire on Ocean Av MARCH 29 - Bohemia Fire Department was toned out for a bus fire on March 12th on Ocean Ave. Assistant Chief Richard Andersen took command with the crew from Engine 3-12-7 extinguishing the fire.
